• Establish a safe working environment on the entire assembly and shipping areas. • Keep track of hourly payroll employees. • Assign jobs and tasks to Leadsmen and assembly Techs. • Keep track of standard hours and ensure that sub-assemblies are built within allotted time to keep cost under control. • Supervise Assembly processes for all machinery orders, Customer orders and R&D releases. • Ensure that shipment dates are met according to Sales Order.• Work closely with Production Control Personnel and other groups within Operations to ensure the timely delivery of all required sub-assemblies and assemblies to support schedules. • Manage allocated resources to ensure that the assembly objectives are met.• Ensure that all engineering changes are processed and sent out electronically. • Identification and implementation of process improvements to reduce cost and waste.• Identification and improvement of assembly methodologies to cut assembly cost and improve continuous quality.• Write assembly procedures and single point lessons, for the standardization of assembly processes. • Ensure that all engineering change releases are implemented accordingly. • Ensure that all parts discrepancies are investigated without delay, find the origin of the flaw and correct it at the source to eliminate future recurrences and therefore eliminate scrap in assembly department and fabrication. • Conduct Customer and internal FATS following an elaborated written protocol to ensure FAT success on every order. • Supervise 3 employees in the shipping department for all inbound and outbound goods.
