After 35 years of experience at all levels in a variety of companies (CAC40 / SBF120), I have acquired a very strong expertise in all fields of Operations (Mining and Manufacturing): Safety, Operational Excellence, Capex management, Industry 4.0, Supply chain optimization, Purchasing, Decarbonation, etc and in management of multi-site / multi-country international teams. In our ever-changing world, I have also led several M&A transactions (vendor's and buyer's side) and large transformation / restructuring projects, often working with top tier consulting firms. Now time has come to use this experience to help industry on 3 key axes:- Improve the industrial operations (again and always) using classical methods (Lean, six sigma, …) combined with more recent techniques (industry 4.0, AI). Strangely enough, after decades of improvement projects and systems, there is still a huge residual potential to reduce costs, increase productivity, improve efficiency, optimize procurement … So full impact is far from being achieved.- Maybe there is still a lot of potential because applying the right methods is necessary but not sufficient, and the impact of key managers is underestimated. In a more and more changing and uncertain business environment, we need managers who are adapting quickly, are agile, problem solver, able to organize and dismantle rapidly project teams or even adapt organizations to face new problems; managers that are not disoriented and stressed by uncertainty. Transition management firms, a growing activity, are able to supply such profiles who are by nature very experienced, more at ease with change and resilient to less stability.- And of course, our planet, in particular Climate Change and the contribution of industry to decarbonation, both in their processes and energy choice / consumption. Energy production and the industrial sectors, put together, account for more than 50 % of the CO2 emissions.
