Building Design International was hired as a General Contractor for the construction of the public areas of the new Wyndham Grand Hotel inMexico City. The project consists of the remodeling of a 3-building complex, 18 areas with different specifications, distributed throughout thecomplex (2 skygardens, corporate offices, lobby & motor lobby, 3 restaurants, business center, high-end bathrooms, SPA, Hotel's main kitchen, VIP Club etc.) . Scope: Civil Works, Drywalls, iron & metal works and finishes.As a Project Manager, I’m in charge of overseeing all the activities from the different departments, necessary to complete the works in timeand budget, as well as to protect the company interests.Among the activities performed, by department, are:•Construction. Preconstruction and site office construction, meetings and workshops with the client & supervision in order to plan weeklyactivities, coordination of 5 project engineers, quantification and review of executed works, subcontractors procurement & progress review, constructionlogistics, coordination with other contractors in order to mitigate delays.•Design.
