Jeff focuses on complex commercial finance matters, including both commercial lending and equipment leasing and finance transactions. He has significant experience in the agribusiness and energy industries. He represents commercial banks, cooperative lenders, community banks, leasing companies, borrowers and lessees in a wide range of finance transactions, including the following: • Secured and unsecured term and revolving debt financings• Equipment and facility lease transactions• Asset-based financings• Working capital loans• Acquisition and construction finance• Project finance• Syndicated, club, bilateral and participated loan transactions• Creation and review of form loan and lease documentation Jeff's commercial lending experience spans the full range of agribusiness commodities, including dairy, grain, livestock and other protein, and biofuels. He regularly counsels clients on the Food Security Act, the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act, the Packers and Stockyard Act, state-level agriculture-related statutory liens and corporate farming issues, and other issues unique to agribusiness finance transactions. He has advised on hundreds of equipment leasing and finance transactions involving assets as varied as solar power projects, grain handling and storage facilities, processing and manufacturing equipment and facilities, livestock facilities, railcars, warehouses and cold storage facilities. He also has handled purchases and sales of lease portfolios, servicing and remarketing agreements and master participation agreements. Jeff leads the firm's Agribusiness Finance team and co-chairs the firm's Agribusiness Industry Group.Jeff is licensed to practice law in Colorado, New York and Texas.
