The COIB's mission is to develop, promote and protect the Olympic Movement in Belgium, in accordance with the IOC Olympic Charter. The COIB is totally independent and autonomous. In the pursuit of its objectives, it undertakes to respect and implement the Olympic Charter, the rules of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the World Anti-Doping Code, without any pressure of a political, philosophical or economic nature. COIB is a non-profit organization whose main bodies are the General Meeting, the Board of Directors and the Board Office.The Board of Directors manages and represents the COIB.It currently comprises 20 members: the President, 15 members from national sports federations, the President of the Athletes' Commission, a representative of the National Lottery and 2 Belgian members of the IOC.The current Chairman is SAIVE Jean-Michel and the Honorary Chairman is H.M. King Philippe.

The international commitment to the development of the profession is a great challenge.The Institute of Actuaries in Belgium is the result of the transformation of the Royal Association of Belgian Actuaries, in short the ARAB, which brought together Belgian actuaries. Given the evolution of Europe, we wanted to transform this Association into an Institute in order to better meet the needs of our members and the wishes of employers and supervisory bodies. Moreover, we also wanted to change the name of "Belgian" actuaries to that of actuaries "in Belgium", and each will understand its meaning
