This was a business I started on my own back in 2002. Our specialty was (and continues to be) supporting employees who use the Microsoft Office End User Suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project, SharePoint, and much more). I have really enjoyed my time as a Training Team Lead Consultant and Program Delivery Manager for Global Knowledge. In short I started as a one-time stand in for them. They had contacted me at random to fill a last-minute facilitator gap for a 2-day project they were awarded. Apparently I made such a good impression in those few days that almost immediately I had an enormous variety of other opportunities with GK that would keep my quite busy for some time.In this position, I generally specialize in helping lead Training Teams and Staff for major software upgrades and rollouts. I have managed several training teams ranging between 1 and 25+ instructors. These teams have been responsible for training a wide array of corporations, some of which had projects that involved the training and support of over 70,000 employees.Additionally, I create detailed written scripts for both classroom and eLearning courses on a regular basis, and assist development teams in using these scripts for recording CBT's whenever possible. Outside of the "classroom", I provide real-time application support during system upgrades, and manage databases with over 1,900 individual user questions answered solely by myself. I also conduct trainer assessments, interviews, and audits. I coordinate and develop complete Train-the-Trainer workshops (from content to logistics), organize other misc. project logistics such as trainer scheduling, and review / analyze student satisfaction scores on a regular basis.
