Ever since I was young, I have always envied small businesses, brands, and the relationships they share with customers. Over 10 years ago I received the opportunity to experience it for myself with The Custom Saber Shop and hit the ground running. Over the decade of operations management, I helped propel revenue in just a couple short years after starting and scaled the company from two employees to 10+ while maintaining a hyper focused customer experience that strengthened a customer base that accounts for 70%+ GMV monthly for over 7 years straight. The best part of all of it? The relationships built. My career journey has seen me wear many hats while the company has developed and I have been extensively involved with operations management, product development, marketing, sales, customer service, and manufacturing. Building a brand and e-commerce store with a manufacturing component has taught me the following about myself: I can successfully help scale a company - The customer is always at the center of what I do- Data driven but not reluctant to act on gut instinct. The instinct is good but always in search of data- Small businesses do not have a ton of resources and I have learned to execute big ideas with limited resourcesI can grow, lead, and rally a team- I have a deep understanding that the team behind the product is just as important as the product itself- Teamwork makes the dream work and I always stay in tune to the team's needs and wants - I am driven to win but a team win is the most important goalI am always driven to be a better person - Always in search of the positivity in any situation - I try to make sure compassion and the human touch is never lost- I stay focused and always strive to make the highest-quality decision I am definitely a people person and love to always get fresh perspectives with new interactions.
