Supervise systems analysis and computer operations.• Manage security administration functions surrounding Oracle and local area network systems at all locations.Responsibilities include: o The addition, deletions, and modifications of user accounts. o The maintenance and record retentions of users access requests o Maintenance of security parameters and overall security (physical & logical). o Helpdesk functions over user accts. • Manage all Water Transmission Group Project Engineering Departments for the United States and Mexico, by directing and monitoring the activities of the Project Engineering staff.• Review all manufacturing schedules and informs Project Management of the layout submittal schedule for each project.• Improve the Project Engineering function by recruiting, training and developing Project Engineering staff.• Oversee and coordinate, with Project Management, Manufacturing and Group Purchasing, the preparation of the Bill of Material for materials to be purchased for each project.• Assure that preliminary joint data is provided to Manufacturing to facilitate the start of plant make-ready and the ordering of skelp, rod, joint bands and other materials required for the project.• Coordinate with Staff Engineering for any non-standard post-bid designs and for the preparation and review of applicable product design calculations.• Coordinate preparation of submittals of engineering designs, calculations and drawings, Quality Assurance and Quality Control documentation and welding procedures.• Provide assistance to the Field Representative in solving field problems during project installation.• Assure the origination of Change Orders for the preparation of a cost estimate by Project Estimating.• Direct the use of the Company’s business operating system by establishing and maintaining standard and project part numbers for purchased materials.• Coordinate the ongoing improvement and maintenance of the pipeline layout software with the developer as well as training the Project Layout and Estimating staff on its use.• Continuously seek out and direct the development and implementation of improved processes for preparation of Project Engineering documentation and information transmission.
