• Member of the Autonomous Systems and Biomechatronics (ASB) Laboratory. The mission of ASB Lab is to develop robotic systems that assist humans in stressful and stressful tasks and assist humans when a shortage of qualified personnel exists.• Researched novel methods to parse, recognize and replicate human interactions.• Implemented machine learning, computer vision techniques, and statistical Markov models.• Developed a novel learning from demonstration architecture that allows a robot to learn from two teachers performing a complex task-based interaction involving object manipulation.• Designed a novel robot grasp detection approach that outperforms current state-of-the-art machine learning approaches on the Cornell Grasp Dataset and allows grasp detections to be performed for different robot gripper configurations and sizes without requiring retraining.

Managed equipment packages consisting of process and mechanical equipment, including the preparation of specifications, datasheets and RFP, the technical bid evaluation, technical documentation review and collaboration with all engineering disciplines and with equipment vendors to ensure that scheduled equipment delivery was met and that the equipment delivered met project specifications and requirements.Performed the hydraulic analysis for the selection of slurry, solution and sump pumps for a potash mining facility expansion.
