I lead Skoll’s Portfolio & Investment team operations and initiatives that support cross-organizational collaboration. I manage a team of professionals who work across Skoll’s strategic grantmaking programs and define processes for continuous improvement across the broader investments team. I also serve in a cross-functional leadership role to identify opportunities for collaboration in service of greater impact for Skoll partners. Additionally, I lead the Foundation’s grantmaking focus on Information Integrity, identifying and supporting partners who advance healthier information ecosystems in support of more resilient and inclusive democracies.

I launched and lead a new Skoll priority area in Information Integrity: developing a cross-cutting funding strategy and building and engaging a portfolio of innovative organizations that are responding to the modern crisis of disinformation. I also contribute to the sourcing, diligence, and selection of annual recipients of the Skoll Award for Social Innovation. I love amplifying the impact of Skoll grantees through media, storytelling partnerships, and signature events.

Convenings: I designed convenings to spark dialog, challenge assumptions, surface insights, and advance collective learning, including the annual Skoll World Forum in Oxford. I collaborated with other partners on engaging events that elevated social innovators, including TED, the UN Foundation, Aspen Ideas, SOCAP, and the Clinton Global Initiative.Strategy: Working cross-functionally, I advanced efforts to set and implement strategies to achieve transformative social change, including serving on our internal Strategy Working Group during an overall strategic review with The Bridgespan Group and directing our convening strategy setting and implementation work.Investment: I served as a voting member on our Investment Council (the body that evaluates all grant opportunities across the Foundation) and as a core member of our Inclusive Economies team.Misc: I co-curated/produced Rethinking Possible, a podcast profiling outstanding social innovators in partnership with Aspen Ideas. I’ve developed event impact measurement strategies and tools; and I moderate and facilitate at various in-person and virtual events.

I led a mighty team to develop and deliver the Net Impact Conference. Every year, the Net Impact Conference brings together thousands of next-generation leaders with forward-thinking businesses, nonprofits, entrepreneurs, and academics for a dynamic exchange of ideas through diverse keynotes and more than 100 panels, workshops, competitions, and special events.Working in collaboration with local partner chapters and balancing the needs of 50+ corporate partners, we designed a convening program that spanned 10 topical tracks, leveraging experiential learning opportunities and site visits to exceptional local organizations and institutions. I served on the senior leadership team of the organization, contributing to overall strategic planning, talent management, and cross-departmental collaboration efforts.

I curated and managed 40 local events per year spanning a wide range of policy and social impact issues. Advancing critical conversations on complex topics, I worked directly with leaders from the policy and diplomatic communities, corporate leaders, and WAC members to define and deliver discussions on the most important topics of the day.

I designed programs for CFR members with speakers including heads of state, members of Congress, cabinet secretaries, CEOs, journalists, and academics. Events ranged from intimate lunches with ambassadors to large symposia.

Working closely with the faculty director, developed intensive short-course programs in foreign policy for undergraduate and graduate students, government officials, and military leaders.

I conducted investigations as part of the legal appeals cases of death row inmates, interviewing witnesses, jurors, and client family members, and conducting interdisciplinary research that was ultimately submitted to the CA Supreme Court.
