Provided support for the Winnipeg Jets Hockey Academy by developing and executing on ice sessions, minor hockey practices and after school classroom sessions. As the Female Hockey Coordinator, I worked closely with our female student athletes to ensure continued participation in sport. This included acting as Head Coach for one WJHA female minor hockey team, while simultaneously managing all three WJHA female minor hockey teams each season. In addition to supporting students, I managed and provided mentorship to all female minor hockey coaches within the WJHA with a strong emphasis on recruitment and retention to ensure our female teams were led by dedicated and skillful female role models.

- Spearheaded the Hockey Canada structured learn to play hockey program designed to introduce players aged 5-8 to the game’s basic skills- Integrated the Hockey Canada skill development model while designing and delivering interactive lesson plans to engage, educate and grow our future players- Championed over 45 on ice volunteers while providing mentorship and resources to generate confident coaches who are able facilitate successful practices
