I’m a leader with more than 20 years experience of rapidly building teams that produce measurable results. I combine a hands-on skill set in program management, medical research, product development, hospital administration, and emergency medical services with a leadership role in each of these fields. As an Army medical evacuation pilot for over 20 years the challenges of remaining technically proficient in high performance aircraft and day-to-day risk management give me a fundamental understanding of the demands placed on the high skill medical, engineering, and scientific personnel I lead. In day-to-day operations I use my strategic planning, business, analytic, and health information management skills to guide technology decisions and execute strategic plans. Operationally, my focus is on managing costs while identifying and implementing innovative, cost-effective solutions that improve health care services or streamline medical product development and fielding. Since retiring from the military I’ve gained extensive experience in the professional services contracting business. I’ve established a track record of leading and growing profitable programs. This includes experience managing cost reimbursable, fixed price, and T&M contracts.
