In this role I was responsible to define the product requirements, to deliver the architecture of new printhead platforms and to lead technically the development.

I was part of the team that picked the invention disclosures that should be filed to be patented. I was also in charge or reviewing the patent portfolio for renewal.

As a chief engineer (Master level in the HP technical career path), I lead the architecture and development of the first HP Latex printer: HP DesignJet L65500, and later on the Latex 3000.The development of the DesignJet L65500 was amazing, we brought a new technology to the market in a few years. The first true green printing technology was born. Latex 3000 development was even better, new technologies enabled doubling the speed with a superior image quality and using even less energy.I am proud to say that I was the architect and technical lead of both machines and, on top of that, I lead the printer technology developments that enabled them.Before that I had the position of Expert level engineer, with responsibilities on system and subsystem architecture and development on different large format printers. In that position I worked in many different printers in the service station, in the ink delivery system, in the media path, in the scan axis, in the structure and in the industrial design, so I got a quite broad and deep knowledge of all different subsystems in a printer. Among others, I worked in the developments of the DesignJet 5000, the DJ 2500, the DJ 300, and a long etcetera.

In my period as intern in the Elasticity and Resistance of Materials department I learned many things on how materials behave structurally. I performed many different analysis on real engineering structures that were being built at that time.I was in charge of modelling many different structural problems using the ANSYS software. I was in charge of motorbike helmet testing too.I was intern in the Electronics department too. My responsibilities included the preparation of practice sessions for new students and the supervision of these sessions.
