I am still excited by my role as business adviser with Yorkshire in Business, we are a small company dedicated to helping people who have an idea for a business and want to work for themselves, sometimes it is people who struggle to find a job for a variety of reasons other times they just have an idea and want to see where it goes. We look at the financial viability and work with the client through the various stages of getting up and running, then we can help them with the growth of their business or just to answer questions as they arise. Recently my role has developed into some project management so I am supporting our CEO with the set up of new projects and event planning. I am always looking for people willing to offer their skills to train new business owners in anything from social media for business to how to calculate your charges to what records you need and how to keep them, so let me know if you have some skills to offer, as a not for profit organisation we are largely looking for no cost.
