Jim Davidson has over 14-years experience as an impact investor and advisor to multiple social ventures. He is a General Partner with Dev Equity, a venture fund which invests in sustainable agriculture, affordable housing, and urban redevelopment in Latin America. Jim is also a partner with Urban Green Development, a B-certified sustainable real estate development company in Denver, Colorado, and a guarantor, board member, and loan committee member of MCE Social Capital which invests in micro-credit and small businesses in over 30 countries worldwide. Jim has served on several for-profit and non-profit boards over the years including Social Venture Circle, Investors' Circle, Impact Hub Boulder, CauseLabs, ThinkImpact, and Girls for a Change and he currently serves as board chair of Change Finance.Prior to his social venture work, Jim spent 20 years in internet technology development. He was a senior executive at Aol where he led teams responsible for some of the most innovative, high-scale web sites including Aol.com, Netscape.com, MapQuest and Moviefone. Jim also held leadership positions at internet startups including CTO of ShareThis.com, President of Examiner.com, and co-founder and CEO of Laborfair.com, an online marketplace for service providers. Jim lives in Denver, Colorado and is a 3-time Ironman finisher.
