Responsible for overall operations strategy and execution for Latin America Energy Consulting team including development of growth and expansion plans of Energy Consulting in Latin America consistent with GE Power regional growth strategiesResponsible for talent development including: hiring, mentoring, and performance management of the team to create a high-energy collaborative work environment with a sense of identity and prideImplement and maintain a variety of administrative functions like IT and HR, in support of a diverse team focused on the business core practice areas and influence functions supporting the Latin America Energy Consulting group teamDefine and track metrics of success including: revenue, operating margin, win to bid ratio, impact on GE product lines, new consulting services bid and won, team industry stature, etc.Team activities cover grid integration of generation projects (mostly wind, PV and thermal generation), industrial power systems and transmission systems.

Leading and conducting technical analysis, including dynamic simulation of power system response and performanceContributing to multiple project teams to perform technical analysis of electric power systemsOrganizing project teams and guiding the work of individual contributors to the team effortManaging project technical work, cost, and schedulePreparing technical study proposals based on expressed customer needsLeading and contributing to general systems engineering activities including studies, internal product and service support, sales and marketing functionsDeveloping technical understanding of electrical characteristics of GE generation and transmission products and their integration to electrical gridsInitiating, leading and conducting technical marketing activities in Latin America (i.e., using technical analysis to develop and support market opportunities for power system products and services)Enhancing industry knowledge and presenting technical content in customer seminars, regional forums, technical workshops, and professional society conferences (mostly in Latin America)

Selection of new consultants; Technical support to sales and bid teams; Development of technical skills of the consulting team.Perform studies to identify the optimum system solution from technical and economical aspects during pre-bid or bid phases; Perform system studies to integrate the project into existing system;Interface to EPE (Brazilian company ‘Empresa de Pesquisa Energética’), ONS (Brazilian company ‘Operador Nacional do Sistema Elétrico) and utlilities from Brazil and Latin America during the development of work;
