Content design and delivery for the Leading Change course. - Facilitating sessions of up to 60 social entrepreneurs from across the globe- Using person centred approaches to ensure sessions are useful for everyone, regardless of background and experience.- Applying research on adult learning to try to ensure the best chance of lasting learning and impact.Leading Change has been developed for the winners of the Queen's Young Leaders Programme by the Institute of Continuing Education at the University of Cambridge

walldisplay was a website for teachers to share their students' work with the world. We wanted to increase motivation and parental engagement in education.Teaching (2010-2012)- Experimented with different forms of academic reward and motivation.Prototype (July 2013): - Gathered feedback and work from across 9 subjects and 7 schools in UK.- 2 team members Bethnal Green Ventures Accelerator (Jan 2014)- Received investment- Developed a new platform and designed a proof of concept.- Experimented with premium functionality- 5 team members EU Open Education Challenge (June 2014) - walldisplay was invited to be one of 20 finalists from 611 applicants, received from 74 countries.2015- Partnership with Future Leaders Trust- Teacher accounts across 600+ schools- 2-3 team members2016- Turned down further investment so the co founders could work on different projects.

Multiplicities was started by Yusef Bakkali, in collaboration with Yusuf Dirie. They wanted wanted to deliver projects to empower people, by allowing them to create their own social change. Responsible for assessing applicants for the Teach First Leadership Development Programme. This involved measuring 8 competencies across an Interview, Case Study, Sample Teaching Lesson and self evaluation tasks.I was the only Assessor to be observed by Ofsted during Teach First’s 2015 inspection [graded Outstanding].Additional Responsibilities:- Designing new assessment tasks and materials- Training new assessors- Benchmarking competency scores- Observing and evaluating practice

I co-founded Tinderbox to re-imagine the way teachers plan lessons. The vision was to connect teachers to outstanding lessons, in schemes of work, with links to relevant pedagogy. The intended impact was to allow teachers to spend their time focussing on differentiating lessons, accessing relevant research and pedagogy and facilitating learning.In 2013 Tinderbox partnered with London Knowledge Lab and Institute of Education to create a process to distill best practice and disseminate across classroom teachers. Outputs:- A digital platform, sharing SOW's hyperlinked to pedagogy, activities and resources.- A process for collecting best practice and distilling it into a form which can be easily used by teachers in their day to day work.- Science lessons from outstanding practitioners, accompanied by teaching narrative & resources.- Data from a successful proof of concept in 7 schools.

I worked in the Corporate Citizenship Department as part of the EMEA team. There was only one position available and the post received 50 applications from within the Teach First programme. - Wrote a report on educational charities to define the December funding cycle- Created a proposal for the creation of a Teach First consultancy programme - Managed a three day event which drew praise from Managing Directors from across the organisation.- Lead 20 volunteers for three days (up to MD level). - Developed partnerships to improve volunteering metrics for Credit Suisse in Wroclaw (Poland) and in East London - Drafted a viability study on digital volunteering for CS.

I taught Psychology and Sociology A level, Citizenship and RS. I was a pastoral tutor, inclusion mentor and EPQ mentor alongside teaching full time, and running 3 extra curricular clubs.- Achieved PGCE with Distinction while teaching full time- Completed a "mini MBA"​ at Imperial College Business School as part of the Teach First Leadership Development Programme.- Pioneered "Power of Positive"​ peer praise scheme (Year 10) and Mindfulness Training (Year 12).Achievements: - Asked to interview for Head of the Citizenship Department after only six months at the school. - Head of Lower School Debating for 2011-2012.- Outstanding teacher (2011/12)- Outstanding pastoral tutor (2011/12)Psychology A2 Grades 2011/2012= 86% A* to C grade // 71% A* to B grade (27% higher than national average)Sociology A2 Grades 2011/12= 89% A* to C grade // 56% A* to B grade (16% higher than national average)

I co-founded Somali Aid & Development Association (SAADA, registered charity number 1134002) SAADA provided aid and development in southern Somalia. It is now managed by the Somali community in West London. Skill Development and Duties: Stakeholder management / managing and organising a team of volunteers / designing SAADA's manifesto and strategy / developing fundraising streams.
