Mr. Jacobi began his career as a structural engineer and has served in progressively more responsible engineering and management positions including Vice President & Chief Engineer for Brown & Root, one of the world’s largest engineering and construction companies, and prior to joining Walter P Moore, as Chief Information Officer for Halliburton Company. His areas of expertise include implementation of integrated project management systems, Building Information Modeling (BIM), and other related 3D CAD project delivery systems. He leads the firm’s Technology Consulting Group which offers Managed IT Services, IT Consulting, Cyber Security Assessments, Virtual Reality Services and Systems Integration and Custom Software Development. He has presented nationally on a variety of subjects pertaining to technology in the AEC industry, holds a patent for improved facilities management systems and currently serves as a member of the ACEC national CIO Roundtable.Jim earned both Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He is a member of the Tau Beta Pi and Chi Epsilon engineering honor societies, and has served on a number of committees including chair of University of Houston's Industry Advisory Board on Training in Advanced Plant Design Systems, the Electronic Data Management Task Force for the Construction Industry Institute, and the A/E Productivity Committee of the Construction Users Roundtable. He is an Emeritus Member of the Advisory Board for the College Of Civil Engineering at Texas A&M University and the Advisory Board for the College of Civil and Environmental Engineering at The University of Michigan.
