With over 35 years of international experience in leading and managing family businesses, I am the Chairman of the Board at San Fernando, a major poultry producer and exporter in Peru. In this role, I oversee the strategic direction, governance, and sustainability of the company, ensuring its long-term growth and competitiveness in the global market. I also leverage my expertise in family business culture and organization governance, which I obtained from my PhD studies at the Universidad de Navarra, to foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and social responsibility among the family members and stakeholders involved in the business.Additionally, I serve as a Non Executive Director at Grupo Farsimán, a leading pharmaceutical company in Latin America, where I contribute to the development and implementation of the corporate strategy, governance, and sustainability practices. I am also the Director of the Business Owners Program at PAD - Escuela de Dirección de la Universidad de Piura, where I share my knowledge and insights on family business issues with owners, successors, and board members. As a Global Advisor for the Climate Governance Initiative of the World Economic Forum, and a member of the Good Governance Academy, I am committed to promoting the adoption of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles and standards in the corporate sector. I have received the ESG Global Competent Boards Designation, which recognizes my competence and readiness to address the ESG challenges and opportunities in the boardroom.
