Managing a team of Cloud, Virtualization and VDI engineers to expand and enhance existing Cloud services.

A systems solutions architect working with the enterprise architecture team to provide various IT services including VDI, MS SQL clusters, MS SharePoint upgrade and designing an isolated dev/test lab. Developing business proposals, negotiating contracts, deriving and defining customer requirements, creating ROM/BOMs, defining schedules and project milestones and guiding engineers through installation and testing phases of projects. Actively working with change management and sustainment teams to ensure proper deployment of services in a timely manner. Major projects include: Two SharePoint 2007 to SharePoint 2013 migrations on two separate networks. Deploying a VDI solution to meet 3D rendering and high compute requirements for a unique business partner.

A member of the Enterprise Architecture team, I had the role of Design Architect, Project Manager and System Engineer for a multiple domain Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) deployment. Designed a VDI solution for a DoD customer using VMware Horizon View 5.3, Liquidware Labs ProfileUnity, Atlantis Computing ILIO, HP StoreVirtual VSA and Raytheon TTC. The design was intended to eliminate SAN for the linked clones by using an ILIO Diskless VDI solution and also to provide two domains on one display using the TTC DC.- Led an engineering effort to design, document, procure, implement and test a VDI solution for a DoD customer- Wrote design, release and validation ITIL documentation and reviewed it with the DoD service owners- Worked with multiple vendors to design and implement the final solution

• Project Management for FedEx Datacenter migration project. • Project Managment for ARMY Exchange migration to a Cloud architecture hosted by DISA. Led team that assisted in email migrations in the Pacific region to include Korea, Japan, Hawaii and Alaska• Consultant with a large team of virtualization experts and software developers for an Army project to develop a mobile application development suite for both industry users and DoD users with valid CACs• Consultant provided a health analysis for NORTHCOM's ESX clusters, presented the findings and suggested remediation. Assisted in build of 6 new ESXi hosts. Assisted with VMware View configurations for VDI deployment.• Consultant designed and implemented a VMware Cluster expansion project for USAFE at two separate sites in Germany. 3 additional ESXi 4.0 U1 hosts were added to both vSphere clusters to support a minimum of 50 new VMs• Consultant provided the Missile Defense Agency with a new MS Sharepoint portal while also introducing virtualization to their datacenter. DR solution uses VMware’s SRM with EMC’s RecoverPoint for the storage replication. Follow on work was then requested to convert 300 physical servers to virtual machines.• Consultant designed and implemented a Tactical VMware Cluster project for the JCSE.• Consultant designed and implemented an email and calendar migration for JPL. Designed, tested and implemented a mixed virtual and physical Exchange 2010 environment. Created documentation for Entourage (Mac OS) users, Outlook (Windows) users, Thunderbird (Linux) users to use Exchange 2010 after migration from Sendmail and Meeting Maker took place.

Developed a disk to disk backup solution infrastructure design and implementation strategy for Agilent Technologies to support over 1000 client servers at 7 national and international sites. The implementation strategy included coexisting with and migrating NetBackup services. Over a petabyte of NetApp disk was configured for one site alone. Administered the NetBackup and ADIC tape library backup solution in a mixed OS environment that included RHEL, Solaris, Ubuntu and Windows operating systems.

Installed OS upgrades and a wide variety software on users PC/laptops.Maintained email, file servers, active directory and PBX.

Developed a Windows 2000 AD infrastructure design and implementation strategy along with an ICM design for the Social Security Administration to support 1200 users. Was involved with the development and pioneering of VOIP technology using the H.323 standard. Wrote HTML and used Perl scripting for a VoIP product that allowed web based customers to view the webpage and if they had a computer with a microphone and speakers they could “click and connect” to an agent and speak to them over their 56K dial up connection to answer questions about a product.
