As Mechanical Design Engineer on project basis as and when required, I carry out tasks for developing products/components for Injection moulding and conventional manufacturing. Innovatively, I develop and apply strategies to reduce the weight of the component without compromising on safety and functionality. I also conduct research on different manufacturing processes and applying procedures for optimal product functionality and manufacturing costs whilst ensuring conformance with the engineering design of the component making it more efficient in production. Moreover, I reduce costs of production by redesigning products and components' shape and size as well as reducing the number of mechanical operations required for manufacturing. I conceptualise methods for smooth operations and quality improvements including modifying product components. I utilise Finite element analysis (FEA) to inspect packages for fatigue, fracture, and structural analysis of components and make predictions on the products' performance in end-user settings. A major part of this role entails creating and submitting technical drawings and 3D models to be used for components and assembly.
