A lot of interesting wastewater treatment projects. Back on track again, with a very high learning curve ! My personal favorites were playing around with the MBR Varsseveld, and the pilot MBR work for produced water treatment.

OK, so I decided in 1998 that it was time for a change...And I admit, it really was fun in the beginning, learning all about IT systems and logistics. But in the end, it just did not work out for me, I missed being in the real world, that is, outside the air-conditioned computer rooms....

Here I learned the noble art of engineering....making P&ID's, data sheets et cetera. We had a really fun environmental department (which still regularly helds christmas dinners) and focused mainly on working for the petro-chemical industry.

My first job following a practical period at the same company. It was fun working in Brazil, but the main benefit was working with professor Adrianus van Haandel, whom I highly regard.Later (2007) Adrianus and I jointly published a Handbook Biological Wastewater Treatment, refer to www.wastewaterhandbook.com
