I am Head of Litigation at Dallas McMillan. For around 25 years I have specialised in personal injury claims of all types, including claims arising both from all kinds of accidents (at work, in public places and in vehicles) and from the contraction of asbestos-related diseases, industrial deafness, Vibration White Finger, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and other occupational diseases. Having initially defended PI claims on behalf of employers and their insurers, for the past 20 years I have acted almost exclusively on behalf of injured claimants. For many years I have been a Law Society of Scotland Accredited Specialist in personal injury law and a senior member of the UK Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL). I also act for clients in a wide range of commercial and consumer litigations, such as commercial lease disputes, liquidations and obtaining interim interdicts. In addition I oversee the firm's debt recovery department. Lastly, I have considerable experience and expertise in Employment Law. My department represents thousands of clients pursuing Equal Pay claims against local authorities. I also regularly advise trade union clients and their officials and members throughout Scotland on employment and trade union law.
