As the Director of Operations and physician associate at Chestnut Health Company (CHC), I am responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company both from a clinical and managerial prospective. Emphasis is on clinical competence, compliance, training of new office staff, training of new providers, business development, human resources and finance. I work closely with the CEO to facilitate with the ongoing growth and expansion of the company. At CHC, our physiatry team focuses on providing rehabilitation oversight and coordination of care specifically in the Long-Term Acute Care, Sub-Acute and Assisted-Living facilities. We take the in-patient rehabilitation experience, expertise and implement it at the sub-acute level.

As a physician assistant and Vice President of Clinical Operations, I was responsible for many aspects of the company. My skill set includes over a decade of experience in Orthopedics and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. I also participate in a multitude of managerial tasks which include but are not limited to business development, human resources, operational compliance, and clinical protocols. Providing the entire continuum of care in rehabilitation including: Long-Term Acute Care, In-Patient rehabilitation, Sub-Acute rehabilitation and rehabilitation in Assisted-Living facilities.

Primary duties included assisting a team of 8 Board Certified, Fellowship Trained Orthopedic surgeons in the operating room. My primary emphasis was in Sports Medicine, Joint Replacement, and Foot/Ankle surgery. As one of the first PAs in the region, I was able to help the hospital system and existing practices utilize PAs to their fullest potential.
