Josiah joined EDI in February of 2014. As Production Manager, he oversees production and manages EDI’s Distance Learning Initiative, in addition to other online educational initiatives and programs. In this role, Josiah has recorded over 150 individual interview sessions with distinguished members of the EDI community. He also assists in the management of EDI’s online presence, audio-visual support and photography at EDI events.His duties include:• Serves as the non-profit’s single-member in-house video and photo production team.• Coordinated with over 100 faculty members, including various members of the federal judiciary, government agencies, in-house counsel from Fortune 500 companies and Am Law 200 law firm partners, to develop content for and produce a 40-course on-demand video education program on legal technology topics, totaling over 36 hours of final edited content.• Manage production process for all video content, including travel logistics, location management, lighting, sound recording and conducting interviews with subjects.• Edit raw video content into cohesive educational programs based on course outlines and input from faculty members.• Prepare all video content for general broadcast standards (audio/video/color) and final delivery.• Serve as technical video director for various webinars and remote events, including a 2-day virtual conference with over 500 attendees.• Provide on-site event management and support for over 15 high-end professional conferences and networking events, including management of all audio/visual equipment, vendors, conference technologies and technical troubleshooting.• Research and deploy new technology platforms and systems to streamline efficiencies.• Collaborate with the Director of Marketing to develop marketing assets and create consistent brand identity across websites, printed materials, marketing collateral, etc.

Founded by film school cohorts Noah Temple and Josiah Grandfield, ARK & KING strives to tell authentic stories through motion picture and still photography.In this roles, duties include:• Collaborate with various clientele & businesses to create visually striking and engaging video and photo content for a variety of platforms (web, social, print).• Cultivate strong client relationships to create recurring business opportunities.• Interface with potential clients to create project plans, cost estimates, budgets, and schedules.• Develop the creative direction for a project based on the client’s needs, brand identity and budget.• Manage multi-media projects from conception through production to final delivery, often serving as creative lead responsible for all aspects of a production, including scripting, scheduling, location management, lighting, staging, editing, color correction and sound editing.• Receive and implement client notes to edit new and alternative cuts of a project.• Stay up-to-date with current technology and equipment trends, including software, cameras and codecs, to ensure the highest quality and most efficient production process.• Hire and manage contracted talent and crew members for various productions.• Originate and maintain organizational and enterprise systems, including bookkeeping, tax filing and data/asset management and back-ups.
