Here are some of the ways I help owners and managers: 1) Act as a sounding board and debate the pros and cons of strategies, opportunities and transactions to determine the best course of action. 2) Prepare business simulations and projections, explore the effect of changes in assumptions then develop strategies and tactics to reach an optimum outcome. 3) Develop business plans using a methodology I created which explores finding, pricing and doing the work of the business. 4) Review historical data for trends and develop support for key performance indicators then develop methodologies for capturing and analyzing this data on an ongoing basis. 5) Develop efficient ways to meet compliance requirements by developing and documenting straightforward policies and procedures and using computerized tools when appropriate and 6) maintain good relationships with outside auditors, bankers and lawyers as well as, information technology, employee benefit and risk management professionals to ensure access to capital and reduce operational risks.In my career as a CPA in public practice and as a finance leader in private companies I have served the following industries: construction, professional services, real estate, medical device manufacturing, federal contracting and employee benefit plans.
