Equipment maintained includes the following: • Forklifts • Parts washing machine, conveyor, and water purification system • Car crusher • Engine dismantling table and hoist stations • 4 vehicle dismantling conveyor lines • 1 "exit conveyor" which moves dismantled vehicles towards the car crusher • Vehicle lifting and drivetrain removal equipment • Depollution equipment such as oil pans, fuel siphoning drills, and catalytic converter cutting tools • Controls equipment such as photo-eye sensors and limit switches• Lead fabrication and plant improvement projects for the Maintenance Team. The goal of all projects was to create or redesign equipment that would help avoid damage, decrease failure rates, and improve plant efficiency. Successful projects include the following: • Reworking conveyor drives for the parts washing machine • Fabricating conveyor protection for the exit conveyor • Rewiring unprotected conduit at the drivetrain removal stations • Fabricating protective rails for the dismantling lines' unload stations • Redoing plumbing for the parts washing machine • Installing an air compressor and routing airlines to give pneumatic power to 3 additional engine dismantling stations • Using old racks, laid out new shelving systems for gaylords, rims, and drivetrain parts across 2 warehouses • Fabricated and installed parts shelves to give dismantlers on the lines more room to store removed parts • Designed and installed fluid drain pans
Production Manager
• Managed the day shift of the brand new Automotive Dismantling Plant of My Auto Store, a subsidiary of EMR. This plant has the potential to effectively dismantle up to 8000 cars every month at full scale production. I began managing here when the plant opened up for its first year of production. • Managed 40 dismantlers on the 2 main production lines, 6 dismantlers on the secondary drive-train breakdown line, 4 forklift operators, and 5 supervisors. • Managed the day to day tasks required to run the operation. This included keeping inventory of PPE, managing maintenance, and completing payroll. • Developed training protocols to safely increase productivity. • Developed production methods such as work station duties, transporting cars out of the building, and moving material through the building, all of which became standards after time. • Worked with the Vehicle Inventory department for arranging which vehicles were to be dismantled, and ensuring we removed sold parts correctly. • Worked with the Quality Control department to figure out which parts were coming off broken and who performed the work. Used this information to retrain all involved personnel. • Used Hollander software to audit the parts being removed from vehicles and ensuring that proper scans of material were taking place. • Interviewed candidates for skilled and unskilled positions within the plant. Coordinated with Recruiting Teams for building up the plant's staff.

• Assisted mechanics in performing machine maintenance and repairs on auto shredder, conveyor belt systems, cyclone machine, and ISS machine at the ferrous recycling facility • Operated heavy machinery such as forklifts, manlifts, and bobcats • Assisted in the fabrication of a new platform on the ISS machine • Assisted in the installation of new housings, motors, and bearings of cyclone machine • Performed routine cleaning of scrapyard and machines
