In 2000, following the partial acquisition of Prisma Graphic Corporation by the owner of Hose Power USA, there arose an immediate necessity for a B2B online ordering portal to streamline the ordering process for printed materials at the sister company.I commenced development of the company’s B2B digital commerce portal product in July 2000 on a contract basis. By 2006, I transitioned to a full-time role and continued to enhance and develop their B2B software. The primary development framework utilized was classic ASP, complemented by SQL 2008 as the back-end database. Additionally, certain components were built using ASP.NET. Integration with external entities such as Verisign/PayPal, FedEx, UPS, Ariba, Ketera, and StarSource was achieved via web services. Further integration encompassed Crystal Reports Server for reporting, Macolla for accounting, and Fusion Pro for dynamic PDF document generation.I was also responsible for the design and development of the company’s B2C digital commerce product, developed in ASP.NET and integrated with SQL 2008. Similar to its B2B counterpart, this product interfaced with various external companies through web services. Development was conducted using Visual Studio 2005 and Visual Studio 2008.The implementation of a shipping manifest system aimed at automating shipping processes necessitated integration with the B2B digital commerce site through SQL stored procedures.Additionally, the introduction of a digital press prompted the development of a specialized digital job tracking system. This system, designed and developed in classic ASP with SQL 2008 as the back-end database, facilitated the quoting and tracking of digital jobs through the plant.Furthermore, I led the development of a branded e-card system for a prominent client's employee appreciation initiative. This project utilized Adobe Flex, XML, ASP, and SQL 2008.
