As Head of Business Solutions, my role is to lead a team of key subject matter experts to ensure operational efficiency and industry best practice is maintained throughout Charles Stanley’s end-to-end operating model.My responsibilities include: - leading business solution efforts for all new products and business activities, - providing innovative, automated and industry leading solution design, - working with internal development teams and outsource providers on product development, new functionality and system improvements, - designing and building prototypes where appropriate as proof that business requirements are fully understood, and - exploring all new innovative technologies and their practical application within Charles Stanley, working across business units to bring best practice to the group.The Business Solutions team is highly focused on supporting all aspects of successful business transformation with the aim of helping Charles Stanley become the UK’s leading Wealth Manager.Additionally I am currently serving as the Head of Group Controls, Oversight & Monitoring, a ‘1st line’ department with the objectives of helping delivery great client outcomes through quickly identifying risks within the 1st line by monitoring adherence to procedure. The team’s processes include deep-dive qualitative file reviews, and light-touch activity based reviews, providing quick feedback to business units identifying positive and negative trends, enabling management teams to provide appropriate support to their area.
