Transitioned to IBM following the its acquisition of the Blue Box cloud platform IP. Served as DevOps engineer and subject matter expert on a 5 engineer, 2 year project to retire Blue Box and integrate its IP into the IBM cloud infrastructure product portfolio. Concurrently supported the migration of about 200 Blue Box clients to IBM cloud services.Gradually transitioned daily role to software development on a key internal platform as the retirement project progressed and customer migration reduced the DevOps workload. KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS • The successful completion of the Blue Box sunsetting project eliminated 2 data centers in 2 states, eliminated the cost of 100 colocated server racks, and repurposed $4M of server hardware. • Served on the project team to scratch build a custom, web based sales tracking platform for 150 Sales, Product and C-suite leadership end users.
