As part of the Senior Management Team, the Director of Partnerships and Engagement is responsible for identifying, reaching out to, and building a strong and diverse network of Mentor Angels, Support Seekers and Cancer Partner Organizations. The role supervises the Mentor Support Specialist to help support their efforts to ensure program excellence and growth. Responsible for the development of new training and engagement opportunities for our community members and staff while overseeing all outreach programs with hospitals, healthcare organizations, and cancer partners including communications, staffing, volunteer participation, training, logistics and the development of materials.

Imerman Angels carefully matches and individually pairs a person touched by cancer (a cancer fighter or survivor) with someone who has fought and survived the same type of cancer (a Mentor Angel). Cancer caregivers (spouses, parents, children and other family and friends of fighters) also receive 1-on-1 connections with other caregivers and survivors. These 1-on-1 relationships inspire hope and offer the chance to ask personal questions and receive support from someone who is uniquely familiar with the experience.
