Prior to co-founding ViAir, John was Business Development Manager in Microsoft's Wireless Sales and Strategy Group where he drove new business development with mobile network operators, such as Nextel Communications and Sprint PCS. Prior to that, John was a Senior Product Manager for Sprint PCS where he was responsible for the development and launch of the first Sprint PCS Wireless Web offerings, including formation of partnerships with Yahoo! and Openwave Systems.
