• Developing software for validation of Dragonfly mission avionics hardware through bench-top and automated test campaigns.

The Discovery Program is JHU/APL's two-year early-career rotational experience, with four six-month rotations designed to provide broad exposure, foster professional connections, and build career foundations. Below, each rotation is outlined as a separate role as "Discovery Program - Rotation X".

• Investigated the performance of the AN/UQQ-2 Surveillance Towed Array Sensor System (SURTASS) Expeditionary Kit 2, a new platform in the mobile portion of the Integrated Undersea Surveillance System.• Authored a standalone analysis manual for the SURTASS T&E team that (1) outlines program knowledge, terminology, and specifications and (2) identifies analysis methods, scripts, and prior event examples.• Developed several MATLAB scripts to reduce analysis turnaround time of test data.

• Led the system architecture and hardware design for the Dragonfly Actuator Control Electronics Ground Support Equipment (ACEGSE). This supports the ACE Box through development and qualification testing.• Created block, connection, and dataflow diagrams to demonstrate ACEGSE compliance with SES quality management system requirements, and defined testing criteria for validation.• Designed custom first circuit interface hardware, providing protected power and signal interfaces to emulate flight boards inputs for verification of power consumption and communication pipelines.• Supported the Dragonfly Lander Bus Emulator project by conducting system and hardware checkout procedures, drafting new procedures for SpaceWire units, and managing additional unit assembly logistics.

• Developed a MATLAB object-oriented automation framework to enhance functionality of JHU/APL modeling software. The framework (1) automatically conducts post-processing and (2) facilitates multi-parameter inputs for Monte Carlo simulations.• Organized the high-level system architecture for the functional allocation of the Overlord Unmanned Surface Vessel and verified the capabilities of a vendor-integrated Electronic Warfare system.• Developed Python scripts to automate file generation for JHU/APL Aegis Combat System modeling software and conducted data analysis on simulation results.

• Authored the first Pad Mounted Switchgear installation and replacement design manual for company-wide integration.• Simulated substation circuit schematics to place midpoint Reclosers, Automated Lateral Fuses, and additional downstream protection devices to isolate faults and reduce customer outages across the Central Service Area using Synergi and GIS. • Reviewed substation circuit three-phase data to verify proper operation of load balancing capacitor banks.

• Guided the board through the implementation of student enriching technical and professional workshops.• Spearheaded the design, funding, and ratification of the IEEE USF Student Branch Leadership Scholarship.• Oversaw the acquisition and distribution of electronics kits for undergraduate laboratories with select executive board members and department professors, generating a profit of approximately $10,000 annually.

• Constructed a script to read in existing data and calculate tracking metrics for different battlefield scenario configurations of a CEC multi-node network to generate datasets for each specific platform and system wide using MATLAB.• Supported the creation of an automated testing framework to continuously verify the next generation of missile tracking performance using a front-end feature file written in Gherkin and back-end structure written in C# and Python.• Examined data from baseline scenarios and theorized algorithmic changes were required to increase tracking effectiveness, showcased improved performance from alterations made to the tracking algorithms to AC-2 technical leads.

• Video recorded the walk through of problems relating to Kirchoff's Voltage and Current Laws, Diodes, Three-Phase Power, Control Systems, Logic Gates, and Source Transformations as included in the Electrical Systems I curriculum.

• Conducted research on the application of anaerobic digesters for a closed loop process of consuming dining hall food waste to produce biomethane and nutrient rich effluent run-off for campus partner use.• Performed site maintenance and developed standard operating procedures for internal and auxiliary parties.

• Collaborated on policy and building management practices alongside USF architects, engineers, and administrators.• Altered the parking pass website to collect average commuter emissions and boost robustness of sustainability reporting.• Proposed the installation of building-specific water and electrical meters to capture real-time data, restored the operation of USF MSC’s rooftop solar array communications relay, and ensured operation of renewably powered systems campus wide.

• Led 30+ residents through the expectations of one of the most comprehensive residential curriculums in the nation.• Planned social and personal-growth activities for residents to connect them with important resources/information.

• Led weekly recitation sessions, guided students through course required activities, and offered topic explanations with a fellow peer lead.

• Analyzed electric drive and motor data for chemical facilities to determine in-service versus spare unit status.• Revised points of contact for the distribution of annual oil-filled transformer testing results for all phosphate facilities.• Creation of an internal database for oil-filled transformers which separates active units from spares, calculates average equipment age, failure rate, and determines the number/specifications of spares required at each facility.

• Delegated tasks to 25 employees, balanced cash drawers and safes, and finalized daily cash flow reports.• Trained and led new Team Members, Shift Leaders, and Directors in all aspects of the business model.
