Jeremy Hitchcock has built mission-driven companies, teams, and ecosystems in New Hampshire, Greater Boston, and beyond. Today, he is a co-founder and partner of New North Ventures, an early-stage VC investing at the intersection of national security and innovation.Legend has it that in 2001, Jeremy founded Dyn, an Internet infrastructure through the global routing/DNS system, from a Worcester Polytechnic Institute dorm room. After graduating with a B.S. in Management Information Systems and growing Dyn to 500 people, $100mm of ARR, and $100mm of growth capital, Jeremy left as CEO in 2016. The company was acquired by Oracle in 2017.Jeremy’s second company was Minim, an AI-driven WiFi management and IoT security platform to make everyone's connected home safe and easy to use. Minim provides operators and subscribers cutting-edge fingerprinting, security, and network control. The company was inspired by the famous Mirai DDoS against Dyn in 2016, which temporarily disabled parts of the Internet. That attack was the largest DDoS ever and launched from IoT devices.
