Joy Victor is a Data Analyst and AI Ethics Wingwoman. She has a keen eye for uncovering unethical practices in the data industry. She currently leads the data analysis and visualization efforts of AIAI Network's Public Interest AI project, where she examines and critiques the interlocking historical, social, political, and technical aspects of the city’s data quality management in relation to the Atlanta Beltline.Joy also uses her knowledge of algorithmic bias, diversity and inclusion, data privacy, and security to organize the Rebel Tech Newsletter. The Rebel Tech Newsletter is a safe space to evaluate data and tech algorithms, processes, and systems.She also believes in the power of communities for career growth and support. This is why she co-leads the global Tableau + AI Tableau User Group and supports the Black Women in Data community. When she is not “wingwomaning” for AI ethics through her writing or speaking engagements, you’ll find her head buried in a good book or anime.
