I provide operations management, corporate communications and marketing services, specialising in major events, strategic planning, project management, creative development, media management and business partner mentoring. I have significant experience in managing large and complex teams to deliver to agreed targets I have delivered, corporate comms, HR/change, CSR, major event and employee engagement programmes to award winning standard. Recent consultancy projects: Nolaclan Hospitality (strategic group marketing), HSE Covid Vaccination and Testing Services (Facilities and Operational management), Housing Together (Construction and refurb site and contractor management). Other clients/contracts include: the Irish Hospice Foundation, Ulster Bank, the Asthma Society, Childline, Rehab Industries, the RDS, the Irish Management Institute and the Irish Professional Photographers Association.

I managed internal/external communications in the Pharma and Consumer Healthcare divisions as business partner to the Site Director. I was a SLT member and a member of GSK’s pan-European Pharma and Consumer Healthcare comms networks. I delivered employee comms campaigns and events across direct, digital, video and publication channels. I also served as webmaster for Connect GSK Ireland and managed GSK’s Facebook and Yammer feeds. My work won an IPU campaign of the year, two GSK silver and a bronze recognition award. Two of my campaigns were adopted as GSK Global best practice case histories.

Managed marketing communications, advocacy and awareness generation programmes for Educate Together – the patron body to Ireland’s multi-denominational schools. Managed two direct reports, external comms & lobbying consultants. Company spokesperson. Achieved increased and sustained market awareness of Educate Together making it the most talked about brand in Irish education. Media and marketing campaigns allied to key policy wins resulted in significant increase in primary market share and entry into second level market.

In my tenure I managed team of three direct reports servicing a network of 123 affiliate companies. I had responsibility for the full Communications portfolio for Skillnets and its networked companies - which we supported with comms and media training and advice. I managed all third party supplier relationships and worked closely with the Board subcommittees. I successfully launched the Finuas training programme which was a €2m training initiative targeted at the IFSC. I left the company after Skillnets had its budget halved and the planned expansion programme I was strategising was cancelled.

Tasked with the resurrection of the People in Need brand to reconnect with the dormant national supporter network and make the Telethon brand relevant to a 2007 audience. Achieved with award winning creative and innovative business alliances enhancing brand recognition. Hit all campaign targets on fundraising, marketing and sponsorship.
