I have recently been working as an IT System Administrator / Support Analyst for SGEF, the international equipment and vendor finance specialist division of the banking / financial group Societe Generale, in their office in Richmond. As a System Administrator in the Business Change and Infrastructure team, I have: • Checked and managed onsite and offsite servers through remote desktops on a daily basis - both TEST and LIVE / PROD - connecting via RDCM to check for vulnerabilities and liaising with internal and external IT teams in the event of any suspicious errors or unsuccessful backups• Managed and maintained the system's Active Directories, ensuring users only have the specific access that they require and gaining authorisation through their line managers and leaders of other departments when necessary• Been trusted to frequently handle the monthly patching process for these servers, alerting the whole business of temporary outage while ensuring that all updates are applied without loss of service for the business during standard work hours• Assisted with fixing general IT issues from simple known issues with applications such as Office 365 and Adobe products through to more obscure errors and larger-scale problems with niche programs• Endeavoured to automate processes and frequently administer fixes using Powershell scripts / batch files whenever possible• Played an integral part as a point of contact for assistance in the dry runs for SGEF's Project Phoenix, the largest project the company has ever tackled, which will see a company-wide transition from ALFA systems to Odessa Inc's latest, highly modifiable Asset Finance platform / lease administration software. • Been nominated as one of the most recognised employees at SGEF UK in 2023 for Service Excellence and assisted the Service Delivery team in winning the 2023 Collaboration Award for Service Excellence
