Educated volunteers on mission of LLS and how to fundraise. During my time at LLS, my teams raised more than $5 million.Organized events for purpose of education, celebration, and engagement.Worked on projects with multiple and different deadlines. Praised on Public Speaking. Planned, prepared and executed event weekend logistics for volunteers and their guests. Communicated through weekly emails with fundraising tips, important updates and other information regarding the mission.Planned end of year party that showed appreciation for our high-quality volunteers. A VIP Volunteer would relate that it was an amazing event. Organized and executed a “How to Lead a Fundraising 1:1” for peers which resulted in my co-workers being more comfortable in educating their own participants to raise more money. Out of thousands, I was one of the ten selected for a National TNT Task Force with the goal to improve events throughout the country. I focused on Participant Cultivation which resulted in National Staff knowing more VIP participants throughout the country and improving communication through chapters and National Office.

Responsible for recruiting Participants for Team In Training (TNT). Recruited 1000 participants per season (four a year) by working with rest of staff on Lead Generation, planning Information Meetings and securing volunteers to assist. Planned nights when volunteers would come into the office and make calls to people who expressed interest in the program. I reached out to volunteers, prepared the call list and script, and made sure they knew everything the needed. It was a success because I wanted to make it as easy and enjoyable for the volunteers. Making it easy allowed the volunteers to make more calls. Secured space for Information Meetings (about 15 for a season) as well as planning the big Kick Off that would host about 100 - 500 people. Assigned staff & volunteers to various positions, secured a DJ, and created a pep rally atmosphere to get volunteers excited about the new seasons. Produced marketing information for the program. Replied to inquisitive emails and phone calls from future Team In Training participants. Led daily Staff Recruitment Meetings with the goal that the entire Team In Training staff was up to date on the Recruitment Season and LLS facts. My job was to make sure ideas were shared, communication shared between co-workers, and our progress on our goals. My goal was to make it easy for my co-workers to know about the details of the current events offered so they could communicate it to prospective volunteers. Led Honored Teammate Program which was a group of participants of cancer survivors or those currently going through treatment. I would ask them and provide opportunities to share their stories through the written word or speaking engagements.
