I’m a seasoned environmental professional with 30+ years of experience at Teklab. Beginning my career in 1992, I started off by learning a variety of analysis and how to handle different matrices like wastewater, drinking water, solids, sludge, and hazardous waste. This experience has led to my understanding of what it takes to produce the data our clients need. Understanding the fundamentals and standard operating procedures required to complete any given analysis gives me the ability better communicate between the customer and the lab personnel. In 1995 I transitioned from analysis into the customer service side of the business. Here I gained in-depth knowledge in sample acceptance, compliance, sample bottle orders, sample pick-up, field sampling, and project management. Starting in 1995 I became the sole sales executive and was able to significantly increase sales and earn the business of many new clients that we continue to do work with to this day. Following my sales career, in 2006 I became Chief Marketing Officer for Teklab to further focus on driving growth by increasing sales revenue. Since then we have grown into several new markets where we have added sales executives to spread our name and mission. We have expanded from our Collinsville, IL headquarters by adding offices in Kansas City, KS, Springfield, IL, Chicago, IL, and have also added an Air Toxic / PFAS Laboratory near our Collinsville, IL office. By moving into additional markets we have not only been able to capture more of the business in those markets, but also provide many more resources for our clients in the Midwest and beyond. In 2016 I became Chief Executive Officer and Vice President of Teklab. In my current role my focus is growing our business and planning for the future. By focusing on the future I’m able to ensure we are evolving with the environmental industry and recognizing trends to ensure we are able to provide our clients with the analytical they need, when they need it.
