I began my journey in aviation as a Naval Officer and pilot and flew two combat tours in Vietnam. Completing my Naval service, I joined the civilian aviation community as an FAA Aviation Safety Inspector and an airline pilot. I have gained expertise in both the operating and regulatory sectors of the aviation community, holding various positions throughout my career such as, air carrier Flight Operations Manager, FAA Part 121 Line Check Airman and FAA General Aviation Safety Inspector.I retired from United Airlines as a Line Check Airman and line Captain on the B747-400 in April 2003 after accumulating more than 22,000 hours in all types of fixed and rotary wing aircraft in military, general and air carrier flight operations and formed Global Aviation Services, LLC. At UAL, I was the recipient of numerous corporate flight and maintenance performance awards; the Airline Pilot Association’s Annual “DB Robinson Flight Safety Award” and was twice selected as the United Airlines Flight Operations Employee of the Year. As President and CEO of Global, I have concentrated on providing long term business and Quality Assurance strategies for my clients continued success. Global moved into the collection and dissemination of international diversion/emergency airport data and in August 2008 into corporate and military special operations flight training.Future plans include the development of an international air carrier flight operations quality assurance program.While in the process of developing international air carrier safety and QA, I was offered the Director of Flight Safety and QA position at Gryphon Airlines in Kuwait. From the Director role, I moved into the Vice President - Flight Operations and COO role with additional duties as VP - Flight Standards and Safety.I recently married my soulmate and the true love of my life, Penny.
