Visiting Full Time Professor
As a professor of public health at Montclair State University, I had the privilege of teaching a range of courses that spanned Public Health, Mental Health, Health Education, Community Health and Advocacy, HIV/AIDS, and Health Disparities. It was a great honor to share my knowledge and experience with students and to inspire them to become advocates for social justice and health equity. One of my proudest achievements during my tenure at MSU was the creation and implementation of international learning courses in Nicaragua and Cuba. These annual courses focused on the critical issues of social injustice, public health policies, and social disparities between developing countries and the United States. By providing students with a unique opportunity to engage with communities abroad, we aimed to foster social, political, and conscious change through education.Over the years, I was humbled by the enthusiasm of the students who enrolled in the international courses, with over 200 students participating under my guidance. It was a privilege to witness the transformative impact of these courses on their personal and professional trajectories, and I remain deeply committed to advancing the cause of social justice through education and advocacy.

Today, it is a vital department within the Montclair State University community, providing essential resources to those in need.In addition to founding the Center, I also managed a Department of Justice grant focused on eliminating violence against women on college campuses. Through education, counseling, training, and marketing efforts, we were able to make significant strides in reducing instances of violence and creating a safer environment for all students. As part of this effort, I oversaw a team of five professional staff and over 75 student volunteers, whose contributions were essential to our success.Overall, I am incredibly proud of the work I have done to promote social justice and human rights, and I remain deeply committed to advancing these causes in all aspects of my work.

Through careful planning and collaboration with other faculty members and university staff, we were able to create a comprehensive health education program that met the needs of our students and helped promote a culture of wellness on campus.Overall, I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to have worked on this project and to have made a positive impact on the health and well-being of our university community.
