Work on several projects to provide insight into Maryland Vehicle Administration (MVA) operations to enable the executive team to improve performance. Participate in the upgrade of programs from WebFOCUS version 8.0 to 8.2. Work with a cross functional team to support a major staged implementation of the new OLTP system (FAST) at MVA to ensure that the current reporting applications were modified to continue to provide information to MVA managers and executive team. Perform in-depth data analysis on the FAST database. Provided technical design and implementation support to new projects into business areas of Customer Engagement and Central Operations, providing new insight to the executive team. Migrate BI Visualizations and Dashboards and the underlying processing from SQL Server/WebFOCUS platform to Microsoft Azure/Power platform.

As an architect and senior developer, was responsible for delivering multiple data warehouse solutions using Oracle 8 databases. Design and develop enterprise-wide, mission critical Data Warehouse systems to consolidate data from various business units in VBA. Design and implement several STAR schemas to achieve business objectives, e.g. the Balanced Scorecard system is used to monitor and evaluate the services. Develop the system architecture of incorporating an Operational Data Store, between the OLTP database and the Data Warehouse. Develop and maintain the multi-dimensional Oracle Express databases. Create, develop, and maintain the Oracle 7.3 database and provide efficient storage and retrieval of financial information. Automate the delivery of regular data feeds and other manual tasks using C programs, UNIX shell scripts, and SQL*Loader. Perform business process re-engineering by interviewing end-users and studying the current data processing systems. Analyze and redesign existing database for variable annuities and participate in JAD sessions with industry analysts. Develop best practices for database application development and delivered a best practices document that has been subsequently used in deployment of other applications.
