Infera AI is a Canadian-based startup that builds data-driven AI platforms and solutions to support industrial applications. We take a Bayesian approach to machine learning to deliver proprietary probabilistic digital twins or AI models that address the challenges associated with decision making and optimization under uncertainty. Our current AI platform offers a machine learning pipeline to do data-preprocessing, auto ML, and several downstream applications, such as, data analytics, predictions, and optimizations, allowing users to make data-driven decisions.For example, in the field of engineering design optimization, our platform enables engineers to explore and exploit the high dimensional design space, driving many cutting-edge engineering design innovations.Our underlying AI technology can be applied to a broad range of industries. With some customizations to our current AI platform, we can deliver industrial applications including process optimizations, quality assessment through virtual metrology, and diagnosis, prognosis and health monitoring of deployed assets, just to name a few.We seek to leverage our AI technology to reduce time, energy, emissions, and waste in industry, and we look forward to learning about your industry specific problems and solving them with our AI technology.

Waitro brings an automated ordering and payment platform that works by having customers scan/enter a table code on their smartphone and start ordering without any download or registration. Beyond our ordering and point-of-sale platform, our main service includes a full Restaurant Operation System (ROS) that offers powerful platforms for the kitchen, front of house and restaurant management to allow restaurants to operate more efficiently. At Waitro, our goal is to renovate the restaurant industry to make it a less risky and less stressful industry to be in.

This is a fun research project spanning two summers where I got to design and use a pneumatic cannon for impact testing on lightweight composite materials used for the aerospace industry. I’ve set up a data acquisition system that is fast enough at measuring the bullet speed of over 60 km/h. Oftentimes, I would be performing impact testing and breaking a lot of carbon fiber composites.

The research objective is to study and develop optimal coating thickness ratio on nano-metal-coated 3-D printed polymers under thermal excursion, many aspects of which apply to space applications.During the research, I would develop and perform finite element analysis (FEA) using ABAQUS to simulate thermal expansion of various designs. I would then design, set-up, and perform laboratory experiments to collect data and validate with simulation results.
