1. Developed high performance data ingestion systems to get data into Splunk -- the leading big data analytic system in the market. Led a team to design the HTTP event collector that has become the most efficient way to ingest data into Splunk. It’s ranked as the most innovative feature in Splunk in 2015.2. Developed the Splunk ODBC driver to expose Splunk data to SQL clients. This feature is highly rated by analysts and is the foundation for the Tableau and Splunk Strategic Technology Alliance.3. Made Splunk stable and performant on Windows. Redesigned key components in Splunk to work better on Windows. As the result of this work, the percentage of Splunk customers on Windows platform increased from below 10% to over 60% in 3 years.

Microsoft Corporation, Windows Division1. Win8: Architected and successfully implemented a new print platform for the next generation of Windows development platform -- WWA (Windows web application platform). Single-handedly designed the print platform and integrated it to IE10. Defined and implemented the API set to support developer consumption. Successfully implemented a complete end- to- end solution that enable great print experience for WWAs. The whole feature is rated one of the most important pillar scenarios for Win8.2. Win8: Made significant contribution to the modern print architecture for Win8. Defined and implemented the Win8 print preview architecture. 3. Win7: Architected and implemented the Windows Device & Printers and printer device stage. Successfully implemented print components to support the Device and Printers. The whole feature was rated the most innovative device feature in Win7. 4. Win7: Successfully implemented location aware printer and multiple other features. Location aware printer was rated highly for Win7 release. Received patents for creative ideas related to these features.5. Vista: Designed a multithreaded and lock free cache to support all print device UIs (including device center in Win7). Made huge performance improvement for the Print Management Console – Microsoft’s premier enterprise print management toolset with the cache -- load capacity went from around 10 print servers to over 1000 print servers. Load time improved 1000%. Column sorting time improved more than 500%...6. Window server 2003 R2 release. Single-handedly designed and implemented Print Management Console – Microsoft’s premier enterprise grade print management solution. This product was rated one of the most innovative product in the release. It is then shipped with Vista and Win7 as a standard OS component.
