Under my leadership, we have shipped dozens of Rippling's top priorities which include: modularizable Unified Risk Onboarding flow, Transaction Monitoring Rules Engine, Automatic Credit Underwriting, and countless others. With my efforts, we have detected and shielded Rippling from hundreds of millions of dollars of attempted fraud over the past 2.5 years.As a leader, I strongly believe in "letting builders build". I worked tirelessly to shield my engineers from politics and distractions, constantly encouraged healthy WLB, aggressively ppushed back on project requests to keep work load reasonable, give actionable feedback constantly, introduce a formal monthly performance check-in, cancel unnecessary meetings, strategically assign projects to maximize growth opportunities, and cultivate leadership developing my senior engs into tech leads and eventually EMs under me. I worked hard to be highly in tune with the stress level and emotional state of my reports, and operate under a highly empathetic style of leadership. When one of my engineers was underperforming, I took the time to chat with her in depth about the struggles she's going through in a kind and understanding manner. Through listening to her problems and providing empathetic feedback and therapy she learned how to much better manage her stress and emotions, and quickly recovered into a high performer!
