My research involves studying various aspects of aerosol-cloud-radiation interactions in the Earth system, in particular the effects of pollution on regional and global climate. To this end, I have engaged in a wide range of studies concerning radiation budget, surface and satellite remote sensing of aerosol, cloud properties using multiple instruments, and estimation of the CCN concentration from aerosol optical properties. By applying different surface- and satellite-based observational data sets, my research is also concerned with characterized atmospheric aerosol and cloud properties, their direct radiative forcing and aerosol-cloud-interaction to understanding physical processes. I have participated in multiple field measurement activities, operated and supervised multiple instruments, and made contributions to several crucial research projects. I am familiar with multiple surface- and satellite-based instruments, operations and retrievals. I have an excellent academic background and have a profound understanding of the subject with state-of-the-art developments in the field of interest.
