Chemical research engineer with over twenty years’ experience in R&D research and process R&D including: (1). Polymer synthesis, separation/purification and characterization. (2). Polymer crosslinking; hyaluronic acid (HA) based medical devices including HA modification and crosslinking and HA based dermal filler formulations. (3). Controlled drug release delivery systems; polymer hydrogel microspheres and microencapsulation for vaccine delivery; the formulation of water-soluble protein-polymer complexes for protein delivery both in vitro and in vivo. Protein purification and enzyme immobilization. (4). Hydrogel Formulation and Characterization. (5). Catalyst Material Preparation and Characterization. (6). Process Scale-up and (7). Analytical method development for a broad spectrum of instruments including HPLC (Waters, HP and Biocad), FPLC, Light Scattering, Mastersizer (Malvern), VIS/UV Spectrometer, NMR, Karl Fischer Titration system, rheometer, osmometer and BET for the characterization of proteins, polymers, hydrogel with crosslinked polymers, catalyst materials and species for the life science projects. Knowledge in Aspen Plus; Certified Oracle DBA.
