Managed Risk empowerment and solutions for ANT Glocal partners and Alibaba group partners, including but not limited to risk management for credit card payment, e-wallet, delinquency, and promotion abuse.Key Projects:- Managed Payment Risk for Lazada (all regions), 2017-2018, based in Singapore- Empowered GCash in building Risk team, Risk platform and rolled out Customer Protect program, 2018-2019, based in Manila- Empowered ANT Vietnam partner in building Risk team, and promo abuse Risk solution, 2019, based in HCMCReturned to Shanghai in 2020 due to the pandemic, working on ZOLOZ eKYC and Face authentication solution.

Risk is one of the secret sauce in PayPal and it's remarkably solid. It's undeniably one of the best places for understanding frauds and working on solutions. I'm very proud that I have the opportunity to work with so many world-class experts!- Researching on fraud patterns and fraudsters behavior.- Built a Graph-based visualization tool for fraud analysis, implemented an easy-to-use rule language for describing and matching fraud patterns.- Working on Graph Mining solutions for pattern discovery, classification, etc. Trying to get new insights from the data.- Working on a distributed analytical Graph database that answers queries for linked historical events in real-time. It builds on top of Spark, HBase.- Spark, Scala and iPython has become my favorite tools in Big Data analytics

• Responsible for all the back-end architecture, server administration, database design, web-app back-end implementation.• Two product MVP and two web-app mini-games (using node.js), database design (PostgreSQL, Mongodb and Redis), and GIS integration (using OpenStreetMap nominatim).• Helped customer development with surveys utilizing AWS Mechanical Turk, generated reports using text analysis in R.• Setup all the metrics, customer tracking and A/B testing (used KISSMetrics, awe.sm, Optimizely and Crazyegg to track conversion rate and to monitor clicks and page views).• Aggregated 25 million photos from various sources such as flickr, instagram and panoramio, all geo-indexed for fast queries in the database.

• Machine learning algorithms design and implementation. Including parallelized implementations that scale on 32 core machine.• Large-scale network data monitoring (200k+ routers via SNMP and ICMP), large-volumetweets aggregating and analysis, graph visualization.• Large-volume text record duplication detection, 100x faster than old version which used Lucene.

• Power subsystem design for FPGA-based micro-controller• Prototyping of control algorithms on FPGA-based micro-controllers using in-house HDL• Prototyping of edge detection and enhancement algorithms for X-ray image processing
