Our spirituality is a oneness and an interconnectedness with all that lives and breathes, even with all that does not live or breathe. These beautiful words by Mudrooroo resonated with me deeply when I first encountered them during my time in Australia. Growing up in China, I was taught the importance of "Harmony with Nature," which has always been ingrained in my heart. As a landscape architect, I strongly believe in designing with nature to achieve the best possible outcome. Currently, as a PhD candidate at James Cook University and a visiting scholar at the University of the Sunshine Coast, I am using computer simulation tools (ENVI-met) to investigate how vegetation arrangement can be optimized to reduce the effects of climate change in urban areas of Queensland, Australia. I am eagerly seeking opportunities to apply my skills and knowledge in urban sustainable development.
