• 2021 Tower raw materials strategic purchase - Objective: According to the demand plan, complete 2021 strategic purchase price agreement for tower raw materials to achieve optimal cost control for GE.- My responsibility: Responsible for the data collection and analysis of global onshore project tower demand in 2021, split more than 30 tower model BOMs according to different categories such as steel, flanges, internal mechanical parts, internal electronic parts, etc. Send bid invitation to global suppliers, independently complete price comparisons of various categories according to quotations, select strategic suppliers and participate in negotiations, reach price agreements for different categories achieving a total cost saving of more than $ XXM compared with 2020.• Max-cross-section flange approval project- Objective: Test the biggest cross-section flange that can be produced within the production capability of the test flange suppliers to avoid repeating the required qualification process for the future when appears one new flange smaller than the biggest one.- My responsibility: Responsible for negotiating with 12 flange suppliers around the world on specific dimensions, prices, delivery time, and placing purchase orders. This project is expected to save costs over $ XXX K for GE per year.• Daily work: - Track 2020 and 2021 project tower quantity changes in EMEA and APAC regions, to manage and balance the material supply capacity of multiple suppliers;- Assist EMEA tower commodity leader to communicate with tower manufacturers, request quotations for specific tower projects to do price comparisons, and select a strategic supplier to ensure the correct execution of the project in the best way possible. - Create Python programs to facilitate the team's daily work, reducing time costs in the process.
